The 2017 Honda CR-V is a compact crossover manufactured by Honda since 1995. 2017 Honda CR-V uses the Honda Civic platform. “CR-V” stands for “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle”. Honda has been producing the CR-V in Sayama, Japan, and Swindon, UK, to the world markets, adding North American production sites in East Liberty, Ohio, in 2007; El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico, at the end of 2007; and Alliston, Ontario, Canada, in 2012. The CR-V also be produced in Wuhan for the Chinese market by the Dongfeng Honda Automobile Company, a joint venture with Dongfeng Motor Corporation.
The 2017 CR-V is Honda’s mid-range utility vehicle, stuck between the smaller HR-V and the larger Pilot. the CR-V was Honda’s first in-house designed SUV by Hiroyuki Kawase. The 2017 Honda CR-V in Japan only Honda Verno dealerships and was considered a luxury car in Japan due to the outside width dimensions exceeding Japanese government dimension regulations. For the North American market, it was displayed at the 1996 Chicago Auto Show and went on sale in February 1997.
2017 Honda CR-V Features
The 2017 Honda CR-V standard functions are Adaptive Cruise Control with low-speed Follow (ACC), collision mitigation Inhibition (CMBS) and Lane Keeping Help (LKAS) is standard on EX and includes top finish; the package was previously reserved to the Touring trim for the 5th gene release. New safety features include Blind Spot Information (BSI) with Rear Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM), the replacement of the LaneWatch system of the previous generation CR-V, and Auto High Beam (HSS) headlights.

2017 Honda CR-V Concept
The CR-V Concept debuted at the Orange County International Auto Show in September 2011, the production in 2012 CR-V debuted at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Honda CR-V went on sale in the US on 15 December 2011. 2017 Honda CR-V Facelift
The facelifted 2015 model year CR-V went on sale in October 2014. The CR-V uses direct injected “Earth Dreams” engine and progressively variable transmission (CVT) transmission combination first time at the ninth generation Accord, EPA estimated fuel economy improved + 4 / + 3 / + 3 mpg (city / highway / combined). The structure is adapted to improve crash performance, especially in the IIHS’s small offset crash test. The suspension shock absorbers, springs, anti-roll bars and lower control arms have also been revised to boost the ride performance, while a reduced 15.6: 1 steering gear ratio and larger brake booster gives it a sporty feel.
2017 Honda CR-V Engine
The fifth generation CR-V was unveiled in October 2016 in Detroit. Sales began on December 21, 2016, as the model year 2017. It uses the same Honda compact global platform launched on the 10th generation Civic.
